Hi Michelle!
Regarding the oil filter on your CM250. Is it a 250C, or a 250T? I ask because the C has a smaller (234cc) engine, type MC06E, as fittrd to other bikes such as CMX250 Rebel and CD250U (AND - the LA 250 Custom, mine!) The T, on the other hand, has the same engine as many other 249cc bikes, eg Superdream, G5 etc. I had one years ago but can´t remember what filtration was in place for the engine. The little 234cc one has just an oil filter mesh screen underneat the oil pump - this can be removed for cleaning with care without the need to remove the oil pump (itself a terrible job)
