Hello , I am a previous owner of this wonderful bike . I bought it in 1978 , brand new for a good price . I can tell you , this bike is absolutely reliable . A joy to ride , for its category . I live in Montreal Canada , and have travelled with the bike to Boston ,Cape May , and much more , and that included the girlfriend and the packsack ! Although , when i did arrive in Boston , the timing went off , and so i had it repaired . The mechanic just couldn t believe i would travel such distance with this bike . I can also tell you , nobody here in Montreal , did such a fine tuning job on the bike as this mechanic in Boston . When i left the bike ran better than brand new . Many hours of pleasure . Longest trip ever , more than 700 mile in 24 hours . I took care of this bike , washed and waxed every week . When i sold the bike in 1983 , the buyer thaught it was brand new . Well folks , thats my trip down memory lane . These days , when i need a *fix* i rent a bike of my choice for a few days ,cause once you *tasted* a bike ,you re usually hooked . So to all you bikers out there drive careful , watch for those who don t watch us !!! Happy Holidays all , enjoy . Silvio Sallustio |
