Thats about the same as what I see with mine. I probably see mid 180´s more than anything while out on the open road. In the city, especially while waiting at lights in trafic, the temp has went as high as 218. I notice if I´m riding to close to the rear of the vehicle in front of me the temp will stay high; I assume thats due to the inturupted air flow caused by the leading vehicle.

I´m told that the bike will automatically shut down if the temp goes beyond the max limit so as to avoid any dammage to the engine.
