is it your first bike or 1st big bike. if you have had other bikes and haven´t had accidents and you are a cautious driver then yes. feeling good and confortable will not help you control the rush of having such a speed demon at your fingertips. had 5 bikes, 3 slips, no accidents. every time you get on such a bike you should be respectfull and a bit scared (an image) like with surfers and the ocean. i would say that your question itself is cautious, with the same reasoning, how experienced a driver are you ? on a daily driving can you use, appreciate and control the features of such a machine ? if yes ok, if you´re not sure on one of these well no.
when it comes down to it forget your friends, trends and image you have only one life 2 legs. i am shopping for this bike and after 3 years of no riding i will give myself 2 weeks of retraining and learing the bike before i take a passenger and feel fully confortable. have a good day.
