Clicking noise

My 2000 CBR929 is making a clicking noise every time I go to start the bike. I turn the key and hit the engine cut of switch. Normally, the bike makes a noise for a second to signal the fuel injection has been turned on. Now, the noise keeps on going and is clicking as well. Does anyone know what the noise is and how to fix it?
