Just because u own a bike doesn´t make u easier to listen too, some peeps shouldn’t be allowed to speak if they’ve nothing to say, some riders like kwaks (no-idea why - suspect quality) some like yam´s or Suzuki’s but the reason i like Honda´s is the build quality and the fact there designed by people not corporate meetings & accountants! Honda is the only family owned jap manufacture and believe in their product, I’ve always found everything fits back in it’s original place if u work on it yourself, things don’t snap if u threaten them with a spanner or round-off. Go to any bike meeting where there’s all different bikes and look at the welding on a blade compared to all the others manufacturers (incl. Italian rubbish!). Honda also start most directional changes in design; ask yourself what went before the blade? “Nothing” in 92 it changed stortsbikes for good “breathe of fresh air or Tornado”! The performance of these bikes will highlight the riders inability to use it but as a tool it’s the safest way to travel because it’s so capable at everything! The brakes, power and handling allow me to have space around me anywhere! Because it’s so capable nothing worries me including ‘plod’ (unless in a helicopter-then it’s “game over”) I have a 95 RRS urban tiger foxeye with a few mods done to it which I’ve seen 182 on the clock (I wasn’t wearing a dress!) 170 a dozen times and 160 almost everytime I go out on it (I doooo love speed though) it took a month and 2000 miles to get my brain up to speed before I could nail it properly. Buy a decent cheap one, service it regularly and enjoy scarring yourself. If u like bikes and want to know what it’s like to be chased or scarred shit-less (if u wear a dress) buy “ghost rider” on dvd. Look after yourselves and stop for no1. Steve. |
