| I also had ~ 150 w my completely stock -87 CBR 600 . Speedo cable was broken , but I calculated from revcounter which was glued exactly at 12,000 rpm ! Following year I fitted a V&H + slightly larger jets (colder air here in Sweden = higher density) . The V&H really was some piece of tube ! Only some five percent increase in power and , maybe , some improvement in midrange torque , BUT some five - HUNDRED percent (!) increase in sound level !!! Embarrasing to drive in populated areas . ( = not good ) . Though it must be said , exhaust note turned inte something extremely aggressive ! Fellow riders wanted me to thrash it just to hear the screaming ;-) ! In all the most pleasing bike I´ve ridden in all my years !!!!!! Extremely versatile ! Literally ANY riding condition handled with ease and grace , not to forget great comfort , and , overall WONDERFUL balance !!!!!!!!!!! 0 - 60 (mph) in 3,5 sec. ( If you say you need a faster one , you probably have a complex over your genitals . . . ) :D ! |
