I just got this old 87 hurri about two months ago for $500!! yep.. and it ran fair for an old bike with 33,000 miles on it...but it would only go to 8,000 rpm before it started missing! i did have it up to 105 a couple times.. and it took way too long to get there. So i bought an old salvaged carb-bank, cleaned it up and slapped it in along with a fresh set of standard #8 plugs and now this thing scares the hell out of me!! i had it up to 135 in about a half mile stretch and the speedo was still moving like a second hand. I blew away a newer model cbr600 and a Gixxer 750..i just couldnt believe the difference that this carb-bank made so i took apart the old one to inspect and i found the #1 carb bowl had something rattling around in it...it was the main jet...it had just vibrated loose after all those years. And check this out...while at the raceway a guy asked me if i´d like my bike dyno\
