Looking for my first street bike

I am looking to get into riding. I have never ridden until I took the training course and got my license. I have been looking at getting a 95 cbr600. I am 5´4 130. Is this bike too much for me? No thrills and frills just want to cruise around! Yet be able to keep up! Any additional info would be greatly appreciated!
