hi folks, new to the whole bike scence. At the moment i have a cbr600cc engine which i believe is from 1989, i am planning to use it in a student project and wish to turbo charge this engine. I havemanged to get a garret gt15 and need some advice on where to go from here. The engine is now running on mpi injection and because its taking part in the formula student requires a restrictor in the manifold. The output power is now around 35bhp and i am using the turbocharger to up the power again to around 80bhp. Can you folks guide me on any help? i am making the manifold for the engine to home the charger, will the oil pump need uprating? or can i use the stock pump already on the engine? I believe the ingtion side wont need to be touched as im not increasing the boost past atmospheric pressure if you see what i mean, just trying to trick the engine into thinking that the air restrictor isnt really there Appreciate any help Ben. |
