I´d use synthetic. I´ve been using Royal Purple for my bike and I haven´t had any problems as of yet. The better the octane the better the performance/sound. No pinging/ticking if you use higher octane. Also try not to use fuel additives. It creates excessive deposits on the plugs and combustion chambers.
