use 94 octane it is the cleaner gas. that is why it is more expensive because it is higher quality Rocket is an idiot and does not know what he is talking about. it will burn easier and faster increasing gas mileage and efficiency. that goes for any engine. trust me you will feel a big difference in the way your bike runs and how it sounds. with 87 octane you are more likely to hear "pings" which is the cyclinder not getting a full ingnition of the gasoline as it pops into its down stroke. it sounds like a ticking noise when you are idling. seriously now from a mechanic use 94 octane
