this is slightly more advanced than a beginners bike... i had a suzuki gs500 before i got my f4i... the f4i is a bike that can satisfy all but the most aggressive intermediate riders... if you´re confident enough on a sport bike you could start with an f4i and take it easy for awhile... if you plan on getting more aggressive with your riding style once you get some more experience the f4i is a good choice... it will definietly prepare you for a more aggressive bike in the 600 class... like an R6, 600RR or ZX6R...
