It sounds electrical. Take off one of the spark plug wires and put an old plug in it. Using something to hold it with place the plug against a metal surface and turn the engine over to check for spark. The spark should be bright and powerful. These engins can be hard to start. With four carbs, they flood easily. If you were giving it a lot of gas try this. Take out one of the spark plugs. Have someone turn over the engine while you watch the top of the engine. If a big puff of vapor comes out then the engine is flooded. If not then you might not be getting enough fuel, try some starting fluid. |
