yes u can change tyre size, u can change the rear to 120/80 17, any more and you will lose speed because of too much traction, an you can go to 100/80 17 on front, but the size is not major but the quality of tyre, try gettin some sport or racing tyres, bridgestones are good, the softer your tyre the better grip.
