I´ve got a problem. Both good and bad. I´ve a perfectly (or better) Triumph Tr-6c, in showroom condition, and a Tr-5t that´s getting there, and that´s the good part. The bad is that due to some Gov´t poisoning, during ´68-´69,I and all my friends have experienced the late onset of this, hold on, no sob-story or %!¤img here, it´s only that I can´t kick-starting either one of them now. I´m wondering if any of you out there have any opinions as to what a suitable replacement might be. The only Asian bike that turns me on; is the Honda Transalp,600,or 700. I´ve had a close look at both the new Triumph´s, and the new Ducati Desert Sled. The Triumph feels like my old Honda 305 scrambler; fwd seating, and fat as a very fast cow. The Duck feels more like it, but IMHO, it too is heavy, but doesn´t look like it as much. And again, IMHO I think it´s about 4 grand overpriced. Outlook not good, and riding sure improves my attitude, as it always has. So, if anyone cares to opine; pos or neg, I´m up for it. I live in Tucson, plenty of opportunities to mildly dual-sport ..
