For anyone who´s in Asia and looking for good motorcycle transport then the Honda CB 100 is a good bike to have. Honda has a good reputation in Asia for reliabilty (I´m in Indonesia) and they have a good resale value. I paid AUS$750 for a bike that´s had the suspension chopped and has hot carbies on it, and with the long stroke it has heaps of torque, although it revs out real fast in top gear, and i think the top speed given in this article is a bit optomistic, although i don´t have a speedometer i don´t think i can get any faster than about 70 km/hr. Fast enough on the roads here which are crazy, like playing Mario Brothers. Handlings good, very much like a vintage bike, slow and predictable, uncomfortable over the rough stuff but stable and you can stuff it into a corner under full brakes with no hassles which is handy when a bus comes round the corner on the wrong side of the road. I own a BMW in Australia but really like this bike for heavy traffic because of it´s maneuverabilty, and ridden solo ran like clockwork on a 2 1/2 hour run through the hills down to the beach. Yeah, a nice bike..... most of us like big bikes, with good cause, but small bikes can be fun too and in certain situations are a bloody sensible option.
