Buying an 81 750 Custom that has not run in two years. I can´t seem to get the shifter to go past second gear to first (trying to find neutral). I can click three up and down, but no more than that, No manual, is there a place to check tranny fluid or oil? Won´t start due to some gas in tank that smells like shellac. Do I clean the carbs and try starter fkuid?
