Overheating

I´m a brand new rider. Please excuse the ignorance. I´m learning as fast as I can.
Got a ´78 CB750F few months ago. Have recently had the regulator changed out for another one of the same era that works.
Everything seemed great until I was waiting in traffic the other day and noticed some smoke coming from the front of the motor, right around the muffler clamps.
Do I have a serious problem or is this just an older bike getting overheated in 32degree weather stopped in traffic?
Any advice would be appreciated.
