Sounds like the bike is running lean, which might be caused by improved flow throught he air box (K&N filter maybe) or more open after market exhaust system. Lean mixture will cause mike to idel fast and be slugish on the top end. If that is the case you might put in larger main jets, idel jets, and air jets.
