Purchased 1974 CB750 new in 1974. Still own it, but it is mothballed. My CB750 had entire transmission replaced under warrenty due to excessive howling whine. Electrical system was a chronic fuse blower, never could find problem. Charging system barely kept battery charged. Wheel rims rusted inside at weld scoring inner tube. Mufflers rotted out. Floats stuck in carburators. Tail light wire insulation wore through on fender bracket shorting out. Front disk grabbed when wet and rear drum fadded. Spilled a little brake fluid on start button located directly below master cylinder, button immediatly dissolved away. I was not impressed. Overall, it was a maintenace headache and I did not trust it to ride very far. Now own a 1988 Harley. Much more reliable and comfortable. Should have made switch years ago.
