1979 CB 750 F with the wrong motor???

1979 CB 750 F with the wrong motor???

I am looking at buying a 1979 Honda CB 750F Super Sport for my first bike build. While looking at it something seemed off. Later I realized that the bike is a 79 with a older motor in it. Is this going to cause me problems? Should I stay away or are the two fairly compatible?
