Owned one of these rockets in 1970. World´s fastest production racer in 1967! Literally a street legal racer. Did 130mph out of the box (and more). 12.5:1 compression ratio and only kick starter lead to many sore shins. Smoked the rear tire but would also break off the bolts in the clutch as they weren´t strong enough for this engine. Think it was about 52hp and weighed under 400 lbs. Had special rims to prevent rear tire from spinning on the rim under acceleration. Special brakes for stoping this beast. Got about 20 mpg and had only about a 2 gallon fiberglass fuel tank so NOT a touring bike! Think new price was about $1200.00 back then. Had dual throttle cables (one to each carb) and a lever operated choke...one cable into a splitter to the two slides. A true classic, very rare and worth 20-30 times what I sold it for back then!
