had any luck yet? when you connect the battery, does it spark? is everything off? if nothing is switched on, then there is a short . if the lead sparks when you connect it, try disconnecting the voltage regulator, , the black finned thing under the seat. it spark disappears then faulty regulator. if still sparking, most likely damaged wiring somewhere. if you can´t trace it, try disconnecting one wiring connector at a time around the bike. start with inside the headlamp..disconnect a plug, try the battery, if it still sparks, reconnect it and try another. If the battery doesn´t spark when you connect it but goes flat when trying to start it, probably faulty starter motor.hope this helps. if you haven´t given up and sold the bike. regards paul |
