Lower the CB650

I´m trying to lower the seat hgt. for a female rider. Does anyone know a source for alternate shock absorbers that have a shorter eye-to-clevis dimension but are stiff enough to keep the bike from bottoming out on bumps? Not many shocks seem to be made with a clevis at the bottom anymore. I´ve lowered the front forks and that helped but it also changes detrimentally the pitch of the seat. I´d like to keep the overall stock look of the bike - perhaps shave some of the seat foam but would probably have to change the cover - has anyone done that successfully?
