i own a cb650c with the 4 into 2 exhaust. where the two pipes join it is not welded but has a clamp holding the two pieces together. there is some rust there but if get that trimmed off could i get them welded together after that? would it probably have to be re-jetted then also?

right now there is a bit of power lacking at the high end.(wont do much over 100 kph)

appreciate any help.
