Spark plug troubles! New bike owner, please help!

I just got a bike from my older brother, its my first bike and i´ve never had any mechanical experience. My dad´s prety good at stuff but he´s out of town. Im trying to take the spark plugs out, but it seems that the socket size changes for each spark plug, or i can´t get things to fit in the space they gave us. Is there any special tool or trick? Please help, i feel like an idiot.
