My 1981 Honda CB650 simply will not charge...I have replaced the RR, the stator, the rotor, the battery, generator brushes, harness from RR to generator, brush holder, and she simply refuses to charge. I have had the bike 15 months, and have had to buy 3 batteries....I have several hundred dollars in this charging system, and still no voltage above 11.6 with bike idling.
I cut the wires coming out of the generator, separated the 3 yellow stator wires from the 2 dc brush circuit wires, (brushes are seated and within resistance specs with generator assembled) and applied 13.2 volts to the brush circuit. The output from the 3 yellow stator wires is a mere 38 VAC, at 5000 RPM. Per the \
