Bill,

Mine does the same thing, on the same side. My guess is that it is a gasket. The thing is over 20 yrs old and these don´t last forever. Let me know if you find out anything on yours. I should get mine fixed soon too! Happy riding! My email is lindell2@hotmail.com.
