No ignition or oil liights showing and wont start?

In the finishing throws of completing a strip down and sprucing up of my first road bike rebuild, but won’t start! Good earth and full power in battery. Starter button, kill switch and fuses are ok. I´ve gave the loom a complete continuity check and everything is good but for some reason the engine and oil lights don’t show power (bulbs ok). I replaced the ignition switch thinking that would solve it but was wrong. Being a novice I´m at a loss as what to check next. Tried crying but it doesn’t help.
