Hi,my cb550 four k is missing on cylinder number three, by cylinder number three I mean as you look front on to the engine the first and second from the right are firing as is the far left but the third cylinder from the right is not firing unless you rev the bike up and then it tries to fire and pops just now and again. Ive stripped and cleaned the carb and the bike has electronic ignition that is working correctly. the ignition leads are numberd as you look at the front of the bike from right to left 1-2-3-4 number one and two leads come from the coil on the left of the frame as you sit on the bike and three and four are on the right coil mounted on the right as you sit on the bike. Does any body have any idea as to what the issue is why its not firing on cylinder numbered as 3, hopefully someone can help also my bike has different carbs than what the Haynes manual says and I cant find the mixture screw to balance the carbs does anyone know where this screw is as there is nothing on the tops or main bodies of any of the carbs accept the screws that you remove to fit the extensions for the balance gauges. my bike was first registered on the first of august 1978 if that helps anyone. thanks Vic |
