Hi! I recently bought a ´78 CB400. When I get to speeds of 60 and up she starts to shimmy quite a bit. It comes from the front tire. I adjusted the suspension, made it looser. I checked the alignment and it seems pretty good. She has a fairing and I have tried riding with and without it-just to see if the wind direction had any effect. It doesn´t really seem to make a difference. The back tire seems to have mainly had straight line riding, I´m not sure if that would have anything to do with it or not. Also, it seems to get better with extra weight on the bike, i.e. when someone is on the back. Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing it and how I can stop/dampen it? Thanks!! |
