Good starter bike?

Hey, just wondering if this would be a good bike to learn on. I found one locally that is $350, and needs a new fuel tank. I want to get it for my girlfriend so she can join me out on the road. I know it´s not gonna win many drag-races, but all I want is a bike that will give her some confidence. I have an ´82 Suzuki GS-650, and the size of that intimidates her (only 500#). So I definitely want something small. And the Auto-Transmission seems to be a cool way to learn with one less thing to worry about. Thanks a lot!
