Although I share some of your concerns and questions, I have been enjoying riding this bike for the past couple months. I have taken apart the carbs and gave them a thorough cleaning only to find out that what I thought was a sticky float turned out to be dirt coming for the fuel tank. So an inline fuel filter turned out to be a great help. I guess that for safety reasons it´s better to only ride short distances at first and increment wisely... As for cleaning, I´d really appreciate comments from other riders, the exhaust pipe on my bike has little indentations that seem to be caused by rust and dirt, if I rub it too hard with steel wool the pipe smokes for a while after I start the bike, so I don´t know if cleaning it this way is such a good thing after all ? Cheers, Vincent |
