I bought a 1975 CB 360 for $50. When i saw it was a honda, and it was at least big enough to cruise down the highway, I was immedietely hooked. $50 seemed like a joke for a HONDA! The bike was unbolted, no air cleaners and no battery boxes. The left case sidecover was missing. Well i put all the parts on the best I could, and found a case cover at the junkyard for $2.00.. I haven´t gotten around to fixing the CB 360 like I want to, but I´ve definetely had fun on it in just a few short drives! The first night i got it running, the lights all worked! I took it up the road PUT it to the floor, i expected the little 360 to putter its way up to the redline.. Instead it did hardly anything resembling acceleration until it got up around 5,000 rpm, then it seemed like a FURIOUS rush of horsepower kicked in, the thing began screaming out of its JC-Whitney shorty mufflers. In 2nd or 3rd gear on a small stretch of open highway, the bike felt like it was going at least 55mph.. It wasn´t done-Just when I thought the revs were done, the engine kept going.. Finally when the thing sounded like the meanest twin I had ever heard in my life, i called it a night. I was ecstatic.. The little 360 sounded so violent, that it made my 1981 Yamaha XS400 feel and sound like a moped.. I parked the bike and thought to myself... Honda knows what they are doing... Charles
