I bought this bike in late 2000, and have had it since (2002). I live in Holland, and have been to Belgium, England, France, Luxembourg and Germany with it in the summer of 2001. The bike is really reliable, although there are some minor problems. The most anoying was the braking problemn, escpecially if the original hydrolic rubber tube is still fitted, you get slugish braking, and you can pull the brake lever all the way back, untill it bumps your steeringgrip. I solved the problem by fitting a stainless-steel tube (40 Euro), and now it brakes like never before. An other big problem is on the rear wheel. There is a ditch for fixing the rear chain-gear with a circlip, which is almost always worn out on all bikes. That results in a lot of clearance on the rear chain-gear, and eventually braking loose. The only option is a new rearwheel. But on overall, the bike is great fun to ride, but don´t count on big performance, especially not on the highway. The maximum speed without frontwind is about 110 kmh. If you have winds, then sometimes you don´t reach above 85-90 kmh. |
