maaate....I am lucky enough to have bought a CB1300 yesterday and have clocked up 500km already. I also have a CBR600 1995 model and like you say the difference is chalk and cheese. There is sooooo much more torque anywhere on the rev range in any gear. I´m starting to feel what the tyres are doing now. The rear is easy to feel but the front I am still to find faith in. That´s not the CB´s fault, more like I´ve used Dunlop Sportsmax before and they always gave me understeer. Also the rake and trail is a lot steeper than my CBR which makes the CB quicker steering and a bit more nervous feeling in comparison. I just have to get use to it and find the limit. What I really like is;In Sydney there are many wanker drivers who HAVE to drag with the guy on the bike at the lights. As I work as a Courier I get idiots trying to drag me off everyday more than once. My 600 usually takes care of them but the CB1300 leaves them eating humble pie in a wake of embarassment with it´s first gear. I can feel their awe and growing respect when they arrive at the next lights sometime after me. Today a guy in his "V8 Supercar" tried me and the CB...I hope he had a beer to wash down his pie with;-) Confusious say"man who ride CB1300 never look back";-) |
