2004 CB1300 rough idle! |

Hello there, I just bought a 2004 cb1300. It belonged to the owner of a Honda shop back in years, and sitting for 14 years. The tank was rusted, so I clean it up and coated it. During the process, I let the rust removal too long in the tank, and I messed up the fuel gauge. But I replaced it, and it works fine. This bike has full akropovic line and k&n filter, so it came with dynojet power commander III. The bike started and I was excited to test ride it. At high RPM,runs very smooth (too much power) and strong, but at idle, the engine is not happy and sometimes backfires. I thought its about the dynojet, and not enough gas as it has too much air with the exhaust system and air filter. So I physically higher the low rpm button from the dynojet unit. But it didn´t help. Then I completely deactivated the dynojet, and I tried again, to see if the problem is from the mapping or dynojet anyways. But still idling rough and not happy. BTW the pair valve from this bike is also eliminated. So now I don´t know what to do! I appreciate if anyone here can give me an advice... Thanks in advance. Frank from Belgium |
