Hi, Just thought I´d share a few thoughts about the CBR125 (2011 onwards) and see if anyone agrees with my opinions. I´ve recently moved to Spain from England and had to sell my Gilera SC 125. My partner is learning to ride and the CBR125 seemed like a good learner choice with reliability and linear power delivery. Pros- Very forgiving and easy driving position, linear power delivery and comfortable for twos-up riding (allowed in Spain with a car licence after two years, and no dreaded L plates needed!). Seems happy cruising at 115 kph with two; about 22 stone of passenger in total, give or take ;-) Cons- Stock tires are very poor in comparison to the Gilera (pirelli demon sport). Brakes are sub-par for a 125 ´sports´ bike. We paid 2600 euro for a 2222km 2011 bike from a honda dealer. This included Spain´s ´second hand´ vehicle tax and 1 years guarantee. I´d love to know what other owners think of the cons I mentioned. Kind regards- Blaine |
