I want to change the wheels and front fork on my CB 125 TD!? |

Hello! I am new here, I am French, I recently acquired a black 1986 Cb 125 TD, to commute in Paris everyday. I wanted a classic bike, japanese, something which would be fuel efficient, robust, with a smooth engine, but capable of having some ´spirit´ once in the rpm´s in case I´ll be falling asleep, or just in case I would need some power to get out of a dangerous situation in traffic! It seemed this bike is doing just that, with a nice noise on top of it.. Problem is: I don´t like the wheels! The rivets creeps me out, especially after reading some get loose, or just fall out!? Plus I do not appreciate the design that much.. The idea I had in mind when I bought this bike was to customize it, like between a cafe racer, a bobber and a street bike. Obviously I´d love to add some nice wheels on it, black rims with stainless steel spokes sounds perfect to give this retro style, but I do not want to put the wheels of the series before like the T1 or T2, they are way too skinny! But wait, is it possible to put bigger tyres, or slightly bigger wheels? I very much like the wheels of the 1992 JC20 NSR, 6 spokes Aluminium in 18\ |
