I live in the UK and I got this bike in Oct 2014. All the buttons feel really cheap when you dismantle the bike (which happens frequently because there are problems every week, mostly electric) I´ve had the cheap plastic fall apart so most of it is held together with prayers and hope. There is an awful judder on the steering that cannot be fixed and as soon as the temperature drops below 5 degrees C, it doesn´t want to tick over, it just dies until you keep the throttle on slightly. If I get RSI I would love to sue Nipponia, just for a lark. Every time I´ve tried to get parts for my %!¤mobile (this is what a fondly call it) it takes 9 months. Yes, that´s right, 9 months for plastic light covers... 9 months for a speedometer that sat on someone´s desk for 2 months. If you like high maintenance stuff that keeps your screwdrivers and your punch bag in use, this piece of %!¤ is for you. If you need reliability and a bike that doesn´t go faulty rendering it illegal to ride on the road, you probably need to spend a little bit more money and spend less on alcohol, I learned this lesson the hard way. When I can finally ditch this turd on two wheels, I will most certainly be pushing it into a ravine and telling my insurance company that it was in a freak accident and not to worry about raising a claim as it´s probably worth £5.25. The only good thing about this scooter is that it will never get stolen, why? Because you need to seduce it into starting, comfort it for a little while and it´s not worth stealing. It would cost you more in loss of earnings because unless you understand the quirks of the thing, it´s quite dangerous with its self-deflating wheels and lose panels. Still, I´ve always got a story to tell. I can´t wait until I can afford a Japanese bike. |
