Bought a preowned ´93 twin a month ago and can´t imagine how superb this bike must have ridden when new. Tonight 6/4/03, it broke down, something to do with battery not being charged to it´s optimum. 2330hrs in the middle of (luckily) town. It´s Sunday and I was hoping to put in some miles on it but.... The bike runs well and is a superb all rounder. I still own and ride a classic Kawasaki GPZ900. While the twin cannot match the ninja for speed it makes up for it in being so easy to live with, up to tonight. Well can´t have it all. Trouble with Malaysia is that there aren´t reliable and good mechanics I trust my bikes with so I may have to do a patch job and ride it to the nearest big city, Kuala Lumpur, about 200km South of where I currently reside to get it fixed properly. Any one got any ideas what the problem really is ?? The big started spluttering as if it had a fuel feed problem then died on me. The lights were running dim and I suspect the battery was being drained. Could it be a flat battery which could not store the charge or is it something serious ?? e-mail me as I would like to get the bike back up to it´s normal self properly. I must relay this to my mechanic and hopefully a good samaritan will oblige Thanks Julian |
