I feel your pain. sometimes the heat is almost unbearable. Last year coming across Kansas, the thermometer was reading 117 coming off the pavement. With the heat off the bike and off the pavement felt like my face was on fire, I almost had a heat stroke. Something I did do was put a piece of insulation under the seat (on top of the battery). This is insulation like you would put under the hood of a car that has the silver backing on it. It has helped a little to keep heat from coming through the seat. As long as I´m moving its not to bad but getting caught in stop and go traffic, whew, I thought my thighs would blister. That´s the only complain I have against the 950 otherwise I love it.
