| Had my KLX250 stolen and found an 18month old Sinnis Blade for only £550 as a get me by until I either get my Kwacker back or afford another. The Blade had 12400km on the clock and original tyres and the back one still road legal (just). I brought it down from Hull to just outside of Southampton to play out with my big brother this weekend. We went down some tracks today, following my brother on his CRF250. Nothing too stupid but some sloppy stuff, chalk bed and a few tree root (and the odd branch to contend with. To be honest, I think the tyres would have been more than adequate 6 or 7000km ago but they just didnt have enough tread for some of the lanes. Having said thatb I kept on having to hold back the get some distance between me and my brother on some of the section (I followed him as these were his normal lanes, not mine). It has half the power of the CRF but is 31kg lighter and has a really low 1st... Well, every gear. It won´t win any races but it will keep plodding on. Well worth getting if you just want to try laning. Just go round the frame with some smooth black hammerite and make sure its well greased etc. I´m well happy with my little toy. 😁 |
