What Bike to purchase

I am in the market to buy either the V 2000 Classic LT or the V Classic Lt 1700. One seems to have a more updated engine and 6 sp trans. However, the 2000 has that big engine. I know both bikes are great. I will do some two up, however not all the time. What do you think. Opinions?
