Longer suspension travel for AJS Stormer |

I have a below knee prosthetic left leg and therefore need a right side shift bike which I now have 1972 AJS 250 Stormer. My question is how to get better longer travel suspension? I am not concerned about keeping the bike eligible for vintage racing I just want to be able to ride faster on trails and tracks. Are there larger triple clamps available for the AJS? Stock forks I believe have 35 mm sliders which are fairly spindly! I can easily get larger more modern forks but not sure about triple clamps. Also any thoughts on better rear suspension would be welcome. Thank you for any advice. |
