My son´s been looking for a scooter and after a lot of research we found that there are a bunch of new Adly Thunderbike 50cc (2008´s) available for what seems like a very fair price. They sound like a good scooter for the money, much better than some of the cheap Chinese clones. I found a dealer willing to clear out some inventory on these things for $1,100 brand new with full two year warranty left. This seams like a fantastic deal. Others are still selling these from $1,500 - $1,900. The deal actually has the bike listed for over $1,700 but in my conversations with him and in an effort to beat some lower prices I have found, offered me what seems like a great deal. This is a fully set up bike. Should I be concerned that the bike´s been in storage for 2 years? Any other concerns that people would have for me to consider before jumping on this offer? How about derestricting these? Will derestricting the bike shorten the engine life or adversely impact it´s performance?
