I have a 2002 CBR600F (UK Model) which is use mainly for commuting daily to work, about a 50 miles round trip. I´m really pleased with it but there are a couple of things which let it down. The first is the gearbox, which is not the slickest I´ve ever come across, and secondly the fuel consumption. It doesn´t seem to make much difference whether I ride it hard or take my time, It seems to average between 110 & 120 miles before going onto reserve, which is about the same as my Ducati 996. They both hold the same amount of fuel in main & reserve, and I expected the CBR to be quite a bit more econominal than the Ducati. Is this normal, and could I improve this by fitting a power commander to it? Regards Hank |
