powerbronze flip-up screen for F800GS - is it safe? |

Hi, Ive just bought a new F800GS. The bike I test rode had a BMW touring screen, but since this was pretty expensive I thought I´d look at alternatives (the standard screen seems quite low). The Powerbronze screen looked good value for money, so I ordered one. However, talking to the dealer I was told that it might not be suitable, since it attaches to the standard fixings. He said the BMW touring screen used metal bracing to support the screen and that without this at speed a tall screen might put too much strain on the standard mountings. Does anyone know if this is true for the Powerbronze flip-up screen? I don´t want to cause damage to my new bike by fitting it if it´s not suitable, but otherwise it´s a waste of my hard earned cash. Thanks, Pete |
