I just inherited this bike and I’m unsure of how hot it should run here in the 100 degree weather. I think the oil may need to be changed. I’m wanting to learn how do the fluids myself since my local Harley shop wants to charge an arm and a leg plus I’m fairly mechanically inclined, own lots of tools, and I just have an interest in learning. I’ve seen that there is a primary “cup” you can buy from HD and some small funnels, maybe this would be a wise decision to invest in those and maybe some other tools. Also, wondering what kind of oil and weather to buy synthetic or mineral since I don’t know what’s currently in the bike. Any suggestions? One more thing, the wife wants me to wear a helmet and I agree it would be best but it’s hard for me to decide what to buy. Considering flip lid or carbon fiber to lower the weight on my head and neck.
